Just sat here and watched Dazed and Confused on my laptop. I hadn't seen in a while and have really been wanting to see it again. Truthfully I wanted to see Matthew McConaughey. I love him. Yum!
It takes place in 1976 in a small Texas (YEAH TEXAS!) town on the last day of school. EVERYONE gets high and drinks and nobody cares that they are underage. For the drinking part anyway. We get to follow their every move as the Seniors go through the afternoon giving licks (um, spankings with paddles) to the new Freshmen boys, and hazing the new Freshmen girls. Then it's on to finding a place to party. It's a LOT of hanging out and a LOT of pot which sounds dumb, but it's cool.
Some familiar faces are in this movie. Matthew I have already named. But there's Ben Affleck, Milla Jovovich, Adam Goldberg, Joey Lauren Adams, Parker Posey and Renee Zellweger who appears uncredited. See if you can find her.
If you haven't seen the movie, you definitely should. It's a cult classic so if you can stand to hear the F word a million times, go on and check it out!
My favorite quote of the movie is... (actually there are two both by Matthew M)-

I give this movie 4 stars out of 5.
