Friends - The one with the proposal Part 1 and 2
Just a quick FYI here before I begin; I review old and new TV and movies. Here we go...
OK I am a huge fan of Friends and anyone who knows me, knows that. I am always in hopes of a reunion show and even went so far as to write a partial script for one, just for fun of course.
So in these episodes Chandler is planning to propose to Monica. Monica has on a beautiful red dress that I love! She looks amazing in the first episode. In the mean time, Ross is pondering over whether or not to keep dating a college student, Elizabeth. They do break up though. Joey and Phoebe have accompanied Rachel to a benefit. Joey "guesses" the cost of a boat which is actually a bid. Oh that Joey!
I thought these episodes were great because we were all excited for Chandler to propose but then they throw Richard in the mix. That was good TV! I mean I love to see Chandler become more sensitive but yeah I know, he has always had something girly about him. How many episodes was he accused of being gay in? But still, it's so awesome! First he tries to convince her that he's just not into marriage. Then he's running all over the place trying to find Monica, crying and upset because he thinks he has lost her to Richard. Richards tells Monica that he still loves her but in the end, that doesn't matter because she loves Chandler. She finds out from Joey that Chandler really is into marriage and sets him up for a surprise and us too! She proposes to him. Or at least she tries! It's too hard for her so he takes over and it's awesome! They get engaged and I cry every time I see it.
Meanwhile, Joey decides he doesn't want the boat and tries to find the next highest bidder. This guy does not really want it so Rachel tries to paint a picture for him; hair in the wind, etc. Joey hears this and decides, um never mind, he wants it for himself! Then he assists Chandler in finding Monica. He finds her first, thus the proposal!
Phoebe and Rachel discuss backups. Who they are gonna marry if they aren't already married by the time they are forty. Phoebe says she already has Joey locked in. Did she forget about Ross? Yep, she locked him in too! Crazy chick. Rachel is upset because who is she supposed to get? Finally her and and Phoebe draw names and P gets R and R gets J. They decided to switch of course.
These two episodes are great and definitely rank up there as some of the best. Just to let you know, the cheesecake episode is an all time favorite!
